For starters, it's highly recommended that you should clean the top after every use because that helps a lot in the long run. But for those times where you forgot or walked away from the mess and came back much later here's some items you can use to clean your stove aside from store bought products.
White vinegar gets the job done just as good as any other product. I can vouch for this considering my own mom uses vinegar to clean her kitchen especially the stove top. She uses a spray bottle that has vinegar in it and wipes down the surface with a microfiber cloth, you can do this too! Spraying it and wiping it down not only gets rid of surface debris but the vinegar helps de-grease the top.
Baking soda is also a great method to use. They say to cover the top with baking soda, fill a bucket or the sink with hot water and put a towel in it to dampen it. Then place the towel on the top so that it covers the surface for about 15 minutes. After that you just clean it using the towel and baking soda that's underneath it.
Lemon juice is also as effective as vinegar and has the same steps too. Fill a spray bottle with it mixed with water and use a cloth to wipe the area. Once done wipe the area again so that it dries using a different cloth.
Using a razor to clean is very debatable. Some say you should never do it, other's say if you're extremely careful it can get burnt on stains out (like burnt cheese or sugar). Some companies actually have their own specific razor tool you can get that you can use to scrap stuff of your glass stove top. If you do end up going with a razor it really is important to be very careful and use precise movements so you don't end up scratching and damaging the stove top.
Regardless if you use store bought products or DIY ingredients, just make sure you're not using any abrasive products like steel wool or products with abrasive qualities because they create scratches that permanently damage the stove top. Also food stains becomes easier to be seeped in thus making it harder to clean the top now and no one wants that. Hope this helped!
