Cabinetry: Guess what? Even in our Wellborn and Woodland cabinetry lines, there are series that we call Select, meaning that there are fewer colors and styles available but still plenty to choose from. When you start picking out your cabinetry stick with the Select series, I am sure you will be able to find one that fits well with the style you are going with. Also, keep in mind painted cabinets cost more, try to stay within the natural color of the cabinet, it will help you stay on the lower end of your budget.
Flooring: Along with the cabinetry, the flooring is going to be your next big ticket item because it involves demolition of the current floor as well as the installation of the new floor. The wood tile planks are huge right now, and the price of these types of tile pieces can vary from $1.50 a square foot all the way up to $8.00 a square foot. So be careful when you go to a tile shop because there is going to be some really beautiful displays that may tempt you. You can bypass this by asking what options they have that are in your budget.
Countertops: If you have a smaller budget but still want a quality countertop, consider going with a granite countertop? Right now quartz countertops are super popular, but I am sure you aware the more popular, the more costly. Granite still has many options to choose from that could apply to your budget range. It does have a lot of variation though, when you go to the granite yard, be sure to ask to see the full slab.
When you have a budget that you are trying to stick to it really comes down to the selections you choose. If there is something you really want, we suggest splurging on it. The reason being, after the jobs are done, we survey. In many of our surveys, our clients express that they wish they just went for that extra "bell and whistle" that they truly wanted. After all, you will have this kitchen or bathroom for the long haul, you might as well enjoy what you truly want.
