Spare Change: One of the easiest ways to save money is to save all of your spare change. Keep a giant jug in your kitchen, or another location that is easily accessible so anytime you find spare change you can just toss it in there. Change adds up quickly, believe it or not, I am sure it will not pay for your whole remodel, but hey it is a start.
Monthly Budget: People do not often realize how much money they are actually spending on a monthly basis. So a good idea is to keep track of how much you spend monthly and on what. That way, you can see where you may be able to make some cut backs and start saving that money towards other expenses.
Check With Employer: Believe it or not, some employees offer employee incentives and benefits when it comes to finances, so you never know, it may be worth a check. Especially if you work for some sort of home good store, they may be able to help you finance for a remodel.
Short-Term Saving Goals: Start listing out short-term saving goals. Make a plan for your kitchen or bath remodel. Research prices and plan out how you can afford it in the time you want to create it.
Bulk Items: Buy in bulk to save on expenses once you do your monthly budget.
Eating Out: Cut back on eating out and save that money towards your remodel. This is probably one of the largest areas people spend the most money out of their budget.
