Drawer Duty: If messy, unorganized drawers are driving you crazy then Hafele America has a solution for you. It has it's own organization line called Fineline. The line offers various modular trays, dividers, boxes, baskets, etc. designed to support wider and deeper drawers. They can be used horizontally or vertically and come in various sizes so you know every little bit of space will be used. Hardware resources which is a company we work with a lot, also has an organizational line! They have lots of different organization trays ranging from ones specifically for knives to even a spice tray drawer insert. This company also uses natural solid wood for their products!
Another pretty cool drawer is one called the Docking Drawer which is just that, a drawer with electrical outlets! All of their solutions are ETL Listed and patented so you know there weren't be any problems here regarding safety. They offer a variety of charge and power solutions that can fit all types of cabinets so they really can be installed anywhere you like. This drawer can be used as a charging station in the kitchen or even for the bath products that require outlets and a way to minimize space. Another great safety feature about these drawers is that they have different safety features ranging from a circuit breaker that cuts off high power devices to a thermostat that cuts power to an outlet when the surrounding area reaches 120 F.
Sharp Electronics came out with a new stainless steel product called a Microwave Drawer Oven which has a concealed control panel. The panel opens at a nice 45-degree angle to make it easy to use. It also has the Easy Touch automatic drawer system which has a hands-free close. They come in only 2 sizes; 24" and 30".
Pullout Solutions: There are other great organizational options that don't have to be in drawers and those are called pullouts. Pullouts belong in cabinets and pantries. For instance, Hardware Resources, (the company we work with) has pullout solutions for almost anything! One of our popular pullout options is trash cans! Dropout Cabinet Fixtures offers their new Spice Rack/Storage system. It attaches to an existing cabinet/wall and it only needs 4" of space! Speaking of space, it has room to house 36 spice bottles and if you don't have that many, that's ok because you can store other things there besides spices.
Rev-A-Shelf also offers pullout options. Their 4FSCO Series Food Container Storage pullout organizers are just what you need if you want to stop the Tupperware nightmares. They feature a peg board bottom, u-shaped dividers and an adjustable lid storage compartment where you can keep customizing the lid and container storage. It has a solid wood base and also has soft-close options. It's available for 18" and 24" base cabinets.
My last good find is Sweepovac SVS1500 in-cabinet vacuum is a self-contained vacuum that fits on the side or front of a cabinet on the cabinet floor. The way it works is that debris is cleaned up and swept to the opening of the unit and then it's sucked into the system via a foot tap on the switch and the bag inside can be changed by opening the drawer.
Those are my great product finds for organizing the kitchen! Do you have something similar in your kitchen? If so, what? Which one out of these is your favorite?
Till Next Time,
