Handshowers: The first product I want to talk to you guys about is the handshower. It is a portable shower head that you can take off the mount and move around all over the shower. Not only is it good for taking a shower, but it also makes cleaning the shower a breeze. I do not know if you have ever tried to clean the shower with a stationary showerhead, but it is not easy! I find myself filling up buckets of water to clean parts of the shower where the showerhead does not reach. But enough, about cleaning, I do not want to bore you. Delta has a large amount of handshowers here. As you can see they have a large variety of options for whatever bathroom style you are going for. I especially like this one because it offers that modern look without going over the top. These showerheads cost roughly about $250.00.
Rain Shower: Rain showers are going to be a little more pricey than a hand shower, usually between $300.00 to $400.00 or even this guy who costs almost $500.00, but how cool does that look? I bet you have seen the Delta commercials on your television, and this rain shower is actually the one they display (and the front of the Delta brochure). This rain shower, along with most of Delta's rain showers offers the H2Okinetic® Shower technology which offers the feeling of more water, without actually using more water. You will get to save on your water bill, and conserve water in luxury with any of their rain showers. Universal Showering H2Okinetic® Pendant Raincan that I posted the link for can only be ceiling mounted, not wall mounted. Some rain showers have extension arms that can be mounted to the wall or the ceiling. When purchasing one, think about if you want it wall mounted or ceiling mounted before you make the buy. Also, you want to think about how tall your shower is. Most rain showers will only work in eight-foot ceilings or higher.
Shower Seat: I am making a guess that if you are making the perfect spa shower that it is a pretty good size, so you have room for a shower seat at the opposite end of the shower head. You can either have the shower seat mounted on the wall or have it as a free standing shower seat. Home Depot has many great options when it comes to a shower seat. The free standing ones can move them wherever you want, and they usually have storage beneath them which is always nice to have for shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Shower seats can range from $100.00+. If you purchase a wall mounted one, it might cost you a little more because you will have to get it installed. The other option is to have one built in if you are remodeling the shower. Many of our clients actually do this and this by far is the most aesthetic type!
These are just some of the elements that you will need in that perfect spa shower. Do you have any other ideas that would be ideal for the spa shower? I would love to hear them, share with me in the comments.
