If any of the following pertain to you, it may be time to visit us!
If your kitchen was built before the 1980's it probably is a closed off space that is a little too small. In the 80's a kitchen was used mainly just for cooking, usually by the woman in the household, but today a kitchen is used as a family gathering space. People often want a large open space between the kitchen and the living room so they can entertain their guests and have their family in one space altogether.
If your appliances are out of date and yet you love to cook, it's time to update. The truth is, having appliances that work well and look good contributes to a better cooking experience. If your kitchen is falling apart, chances are - you aren't looking forward to spending time in the kitchen. I'm pretty sure they also don't work well if they are getting really old.
If you have little to no counter space - this is inefficient for any person to cook in. The kitchen is the "Heart of the Home" and therefore it should be large with a lot of counter space. This allows you to be creative when you cook and also be efficient!
If you are displeased with the lack of aesthetics in your kitchen area, it's time to get a new one. You want to love every part of your new house, and that includes the kitchen. From personal experience, I know that when I don't like the way something looks in my house - it contributes to a negative mood and thoughts.
If you want a change, then go for it! Maybe everything is working "enough" but you've had your kitchen for 20 years and you want a new one! (slamming hand down). You deserve that!
I hope this helped you make a decision. Remodeling projects are adventures and maybe that's what you've been waiting for in life right now.
