Practicality isn't the only term describing bathrooms nowadays, you'll be hearing more terms such as "innovative", "smart", and even "luxury". You don't have to own a really nice (or expensive) home in order to have a nice bathroom (and that's the best part!). Your bathroom is your relaxing place and like the kitchen, it should reflect your views/personality. Though that's not the only thing that customers look for when redoing their bathroom, according to Alex Birch of BRZ Brands "customers look to three requirements when evaluating bathroom technology; customization, energy efficiency, and personal comfort". Consumers want products that make their life easier, not harder and that are also similar to their phones (such as touch activation and automation).
Now you might be thinking "Of course all this smart technology and energy efficiency products sound great and all but how much is going to break the bank?" Are you ready for the answer? Not that much. Manufacturers are now making what's deemed "luxury products" more accessible for people who have all kinds of budgets. Why? Well because functionality, practicality, and luxury are all within the product of your choice. The only exception when it's not, is when you start putting energy efficiency items (like self-cleaning or touchless faucets) into the products because that's categorized as a luxury feature.
Since there's such an array of high tech products for the bathroom you can literally find anything and everything to fit your needs. There's products that are more designed for the elderly and even the millennials while there's also products for the physically disabled and of course the common energy efficient products. One of the great things in investing in an innovative product for your bathroom is all the money you're saving. As I stated earlier, manufacturers are making it easier for you to buy their products with prices that are in your budget, but you'll be saving more money in the long run too. Toilets, faucets, and shower heads are now being designed to be water conscious meaning that you'll be using less water and saving more money when the water bill comes along. Light fixtures are also on this trend, meaning that investing in smart or energy efficient fixtures you'll notice that you'll be paying less when the electric bill also comes.
So don't be afraid to invest in a high tech or energy efficient bathroom product. Not only would your bathroom look cooler but you'll be saving a lot of money down the road. Good to put away for a nice getaway right?
