I thought it is important to give you some tips and tricks on upselling your home, if you are considering selling. Let's talk about the bathroom and how you can make it more aesthetic to the buyer's viewpoint. There are many different elements you can update or change, that will not cost you too much, and will not take too long to construct and I promise you will receive the return on your investment.
Accessorize: First impression is key when potential buyers walk through a bathroom. Often potential buyers can not always afford certain luxuries, so as a seller if you install an abstract lighting fixture or an antique mirror to spruce it up the buyer may like how these little elements make the space seem richer and elegant.
Organic Look: I am sure it comes as no surprise, that the "green" look has been in lately. The bathroom is the one spot in a home where a person can truly just relax and be by themselves. It is important to try and create a zen look, maybe adding some stone, wood, or other natural elements somewhere through the bathroom to make potential buyers feel as though it really is a retreat.
The Morning: Ugh, the dreaded morning, especially Monday mornings. A way to change that is to add some brighter colors to the space so that when potential buyers walk in they feel bright and cheerier. Now I wouldn't get too crazy, maybe some pastel yellows or blues just to add some color but not to be too eccentric.
Flooring: Flooring can be a pretty cheap fix if the bathroom is a small space and what is popular right now is plank flooring. It has the aesthetic value of hardwood floors but can be tile or another material well suited for the bathroom.
Selling your home can be a chore, however giving it an upgrade will make the sales process move a lot faster which means you don't have to suffer long term being in limbo of the old place and the new place. If you have any other suggestions or experiences, please feel free to comment below!
