The process to have a laundry room remodeled is fairly the same process as it would be if you were having your bathroom or kitchen done. Of course there will be certain aspects that wouldn't apply to a laundry remodel that would for the other remodeling projects we do but that's fine. You still need to pick out your choice of cabinet, counter top, sink and maybe even appliances and flooring if you're planning on updating those too.
Even though it'll be a laundry room, you can still pick out cabinets, sinks, and counter tops that would be typically picked for kitchen and bath remodels.
Now here's the trick; how to update and make an already small space better? I mean lets face it, almost all laundry rooms are tiny and unless you have the money and space to expand it, they're going to stay tiny. But there's lots of tips out there to help make the most of a tiny space and our design team can help design the most efficient space when it comes to cabinet space in a laundry room.
One idea I highly recommend is to remodel your kitchen and laundry room at the same time and make the selections the same. It will flow nicely, especially if the kitchen and laundry room are in close proximity to one another. It is also a place where you can keep laundry baskets and maybe make it a little easier to keep your house clean.
Also adding a sink is a nice luxury to have since you can scrub out stains instead of having to go to the kitchen or bathroom.
Lastly, I think it is important to have an extra, blank counter top space to where you can fold clothes. Especially if you have three or five loads of clean laundry piled up ready to be folded. It is a really nice addition to have a place to be able to fold or store clothing items until you are ready to put them in their proper space.
Hope this helps,
