The popular wall colors were all pale/pastel during those times so most people go for a soft pink, yellow or green on their walls in order to get that 60s vibe. Light colored walls means light or white colored cabinets along with white or blue backsplash tiles (see above).
Aside from the cabinet color, the cabinets themselves are very plain and flat-paneled. If you want actual color on the cabinets, the popular color choices back then were pale blue, green, and yellow. The trick here is to have wooden floors and a muted backsplash so it doesn't look too overwhelming.
Hardware is very simple for this style, it's just having shiny metal handles. Appliances tend to have rounded edges and it varies whether they're colored or not. And of course, you've got to have the furniture and lighting from back in the day to complete this kitchen style! I'm talking wooden oval tables, hairpin tables and chairs, big pendant light fixtures, etc.
