For those of you who are not quite sure what a rain shower is, it is the type of shower head that mimics the feeling of a rainfall. Most of the time it is hooked up on the ceiling right above where you would normally stand, other times it may be secured to the wall directly behind you with an extend-able arm so it is able to extend over your head.
The benefits of a rain shower substantially outweigh the cons. The main benefit of a rain shower is that it creates a sense of relaxation as you are taking a shower. Stress can cause you many different issues and it is important to manage your stress levels in a healthy way. Taking a long, hot shower after a stressful day of work is nice, but it would be even better with a long, hot rain shower. It is literally your own rain storm right in your shower enclosure with your perfect temperature preference.
Another benefit of a rain shower is that it looks stylistically pleasing to the eye. Especially if you have a larger master bathroom remodel, a rain shower will match with any style you wish! They have styles of rain showers from contemporary all the way to victorian so you never will be disappointed with the selection options.
People sometimes worry about the pressure of a rain shower, they tend to have this belief that it is not going to be as powerful as a normal shower head. But the secret is, you can adjust the pressure gauge to whatever your preference is. If you want a more powerful shower you can just increase the pressure gauge, or if you want a softer one you can adjust accordingly to achieve that feeling. You also have the option of having a dual shower head which would include the handheld shower head combined with a rain shower, so you get the best of both worlds!
If you are looking for something fun and relaxing to add to your current shower enclosure, or if you are thinking about remodeling your bathroom I highly recommend going with a rain shower. At least test it out and see if you like it! You can always switch back to a different shower head if you prefer!
