Small Bathroom, Huge Character

When you schedule a consult with Stevens Kitchens we always recommend you share with us any inspiration pictures you have. Whether this is a Pinterest board, clippings from a magazine, or something found on Google, it's always recommended that you have an idea of what you're looking for. Knowing ahead of time of what you want makes the selection process a lot easier and allows us to fully comprehend the idea that may be in your head.

Our latest complete bathroom project is a perfect example of what happens when you go into a project knowing the exact look you're going for. Half inspired by Pinterest, half put together by the client and our Designers, these two bathrooms are truly a gift to the eyes.

Pool Bath

Hall Bath

Some people don't put as much effort in smaller spaces, because they tend to not be the focal point of the house. To this I say, why not? Smaller spaces like pool baths can be great for experimenting with looks!

Many people are hesitant to use wood in their bathrooms. People mainly treat bathrooms as traditional or contemporary. The spectrum is a lot smaller for taste with bathrooms than kitchens. The wood countertop and wood shelves are beautiful accent pieces for the bathroom and add unexpected flare.

For the hall bath the countertop chosen is a rich Brazilian cherry. Since the room is quite narrow it was imperative that the top was a perfect fit. The darkness of the wood acts a beautiful contrast to the the white shiplap along the walls and the vessel sink. There's such a warmness about this vanity that acts incredibly welcoming.

While we can't take credit for the beautiful decorative items such as the flowers and soap dish, we truly appreciate all the layers and depth this bathroom provides.

Another unique feature is this center set faucet that was found on Amazon! The hot and cold knobs are such a sophisticated choice for a hall bath but I can't stop staring at how awesome they look!

Now let's talk about the pool bath!

If you have a pool, know the importance of a pool bath. Besides being quick and accessible to and form the pool area, it prevents water puddles from being tracked all over the house.

But just because it's a convenient room doesn't mean it shouldn't have character! There are a couple patterns going on in this room that I love. The flooring (seen below) can double as either a backsplash or as a floor option.

Instead of doing linear subway tile throughout, this adds a nice versatile touch that pairs well with the subway tile that lines the shower area.

The true pop of color is in the vanity. An all white bathroom has the predisposition to be boring but the gray vanity prevents that from happening. I personally love the dark accents found in the hardware and mirror as well.

This project is going to be something I talk about for a long time and share with many people. There were so many elements that were involved and the end result is just stunning.

You should never be afraid to pick something that may seem out of the ordinary! All it means is you're a trendsetter!

Best,

Shaina
